Biden spent $2 billion to halt border construction, Senate report says

According to federal sources, Joe Biden’s Administration has spent a whopping $2 billion to stop construction of the United States border wall since January.

The Senate’s Government Operations and Border Management Committee reported recently the revealing figures. “The Biden administration is reportedly paying security $3 million a day to guard steel, concrete, and other building materials. Last week, the Department of Homeland Security announced its plan to terminate two border wall contracts in Laredo, Texas,” writes Elissa Salamy with ABC News.

The former CBP acting Commissioner under the Trump Administration, Mark Morgan, fired back at the wild details involving Biden’s border wall policy. He says, “It is jeopardizing our nation’s security and our national security. This  is pure hypocrisy driven by the quest for political power.”

Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar joined The National Desk last week to share his frustration on the ongoing border surge, as “nonessential” travel continues to be restricted due to the pandemic. According to reports from Fox News, COVID cases among migrants surged to over 900% in the month of July, all the while they aren’t being tested.
